RCIA
RCIA is available for students interested in preparing to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist and/or Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. The program is also open to those who have already been baptised in another Christian tradition but wish to be received into the Catholic faith. A Candidate will choose a sponsor who will journey with him/her through the discernment process, someone who will be supportive and present during the period of preparation.RCIA Classes meet on campus once a week for 60 minutes according to the CofC academic calendar and candidates' schedules.
If a student was baptised in the Catholic church but never completed these sacraments of initiation, the campus ministry office will work with him / her to complete catechesis and share in these sacraments.
If you are a practicing Catholic and have already received the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation), you may qualify to serve as a sponsor for one of your peers in the RCIA class.
